I enjoy learning foreign languages. To date, I can speak 4 languages well: Vietnamese, English, German, and Portuguese – thanks to having lived in Vietnam, the US, Germany, and Mozambique. I can also speak an additional 3 at an intermediate level: Spanish, French, and Italian. At the moment, I’m trying to teach myself Mandarin. In the near future, I’d like to tackle Russian and Arabic. Eventually, I’d like to be able to get around to learning Dutch, Japanese, and Korean as well.

Some time ago, I started learning how to program and decided to combine my passion for languages with my personal programming projects. On this blog, I’d like to share what I work on. With new posts, I will present my latest programs (or new updates of old ones). And, once in awhile, I’ll write about some weird and funny new things I learn about different languages. 😉

I’m always open to comments and suggestions. You can reach me at polyglotfun@gmail.com.

  1. Thanks for following my blog,

Congratulations on your progress thus far! Mandarin is on the list for me as well, everything else is kinda undecided.

Nice to see another programmer, I wonder if theres a link between being a programmer / computer scientist and learning languages, :P.

    • Hi! I’m fluent in Vietnamese, actually. Regarding Russian, Have you found any errors on my program? I actually tried adding Arabic in the first version, but not knowing how to read the script made it really impractical. 🙂 I hope to be able to add it again soon.
